Vision2learn is offering a fully funded online IT course for complete beginners and novices – Essential IT Skills (Level 1).

Studying on vision2learn’s FREE online IT course will introduce you to the basic IT skills you need to start getting on in work and life – and you will receive a UK recognised and approved IT qualification.

The course includes units of the following topics: improving productivity using IT, email, spreadsheet software, word processing software, presentation software and database software.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

Completion of Essential IT Skills (Level 1) leads to the new Information Technology Qualification ITQ Award/Certificate in IT User Skills at Level 1, a nationally recognised qualification.

With Essential IT Skills (Level 1) you can:

  • Develop practical IT skills if you're a beginner
  • Build on your existing IT knowledge
  • Learn new IT skills to suit your job
  • Achieve a great new qualification to add to your CV.

  • You can be employed or unemployed
  • You must be aged 16+
  • You must have access to an internet connected PC.

What qualification will I achieve?

Essential IT Skills (Level 1) – Level 1 ITQ Award/Certificate in IT User Skills (QCF).

Each ITQ unit has a credit value. You can build them up flexibly, for example you will need to achieve 9 credit values for an Level 1 Award in IT User Skills (QCF) and 13 credit values to achieve an Level 1 ITQ Certificate in IT User Skills (QCF).
